ABOUT THE N-METHYLPYRROLIDONE PRODUCERS GROUP, INC.

Mission

The N-Methylpyrrolidone Producers Group, Inc. (NMP Producers Group) is composed of the domestic manufacturers of N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP), and was formed to promote the safe use of NMP and NMP derivatives through research, product stewardship, and outreach efforts within the framework of responsible chemical management:

1. Sponsor research to advance scientific understanding of health and environmental safety of NMP products;
    
2. Communicate findings of research, regulatory issues to industry, academia, government and media; and
    
3. Advocate science-based public policy.

Research

The NMP Producers Group sponsors research directed at understanding the health and environmental profile of NMP and NMP derivatives. The NMP Producers Group and its members have sponsored extensive research in areas of mammalian toxicology, aquatic toxicity, environmental occurrence, fate and degradation, and pharmacokinetics. The NMP Producers Group makes the findings of its all research available to the public.
